“Real” nurses? Does that speak of All nurses or just RNs? I am an LPN & want to enter, but not sure if I qualify. I am however NIH Stroke Scale & ACLS certified . I do have an RN education, just missed the mark by a 10th of a point. Been a Stroke nurse for 3 yrs now & do orient new RNs. They really should change that name. ALL Nurses are “REAL”

Hi Stacy,
Thanks for commenting! As an LPN, you definitely qualify to enter the photo contest and as a “real” nurse. By “real nurses,” we just mean actual nurses as opposed to models in nurse uniforms and costumes posing for stock photographs that are often used in marketing campaigns portraying nurses. We want to portray an authentic image of nursing to the world so instead of settling for using stock photos of fake nurses, we decided to ask the many nurses who use our nursing job board to send us their own, real, photos and let us use them to better represent the face of nursing to the world.
